I am so, so, so sick of looking at my book for photography that I thought I'd take a little break to make a post! About a year ago I made a post turning a shirt to a skirt but now I bring you skirt to a shirt!

I love versatile items and I always try to experiment with pieces of clothing instead of wearing them the ordinary way. Usually this is hard to do but with a safety pin I've had more success in doing so! (I didn't sew the skirt to fit my bust because then it wouldn't fit my wasit :P) Here's a picture of the original skirt:

I was told the first two pictures were a little hard to see so I took the last one last minute! It's all cropped funny, sorry :( Usually people don't like the idea of black & navy & brown together but I say, why not?! But of course fashion is subjective! I felt like Sailor Moon when I wore this because of the big bow on front along with the almost-knee high boots! I've been meaning to make a post about her & the show because I love that show so much! In the beginning of this week I was lucky enough to visit the Japanese Tea Garden in SF. I'm absolutely in love with it. Everything is so serene and beautiful. We just barely got there before they closed and it was pretty neat being one of the only few people there having a look around- almost like a private tour! If any of you ever get a chance it's worth seeing :) I went a little bit overboard with taking pictures so sorry there's quite a lot!

I bought these two Christmas decorated puppets today at Target. What can I say? I couldn't resist, look how adorable they are :) I love everything about the end of the year holidays. I get so excited about all the meals, decorating, family gatherings, get togethers with friends to exchange gifts! This year I'm participating in a Secret Santa exchange and I've already got so many present ideas! Thank you all for so many lovely comments, I appreciate it so much. This weekend I'm planning on attending The Grinch- with ballet! It should be interesting :)

Online shopping should be my career, no really. One of the reasons I love to shop via internet (besides that it's so awesome) is because it's so convenient- it saves me going from store to store when I'm looking for something specific. I've been in need for a new purse lately since I've been using the same old vintage one for quite some time. I've been more interested in leather purses and I luckily stumbled upon Valhalla, an amazing etsy store that is run by one woman(!) with a beautiful collection of leather purses! That's not all either- according to her website they are handmade from new, recycled and vintage materials.

Don't make fun of me, but I sort of just threw this on so I could show you all my new leotard that I got for my ballet class, haha. The class is going really well- my feet are already sore! We're strictly supposed to wear a leotard with tights as dress attire so I went and bought this from a local dance store. Having this leotard along with my AA one makes me wish I could add more leotards to my wardrobe. They're just so easy to pair with skirts. I don't have to worry about pulling down my shirt or that annoying ruffle that goes on when I sit down.

Believe it or not, over the course of this small amount of blogging I've been doing, I've really come to discover new ways to describe 'my style'. Someone asked me that the other day and I was at a loss of words. My style? I have no idea! I am definitely inspired by everything but I find a lot of 'childish' things so delicate and charming. To some people, it's a negative context but I can't help but gush over baby doll dresses, big bows, frilly trims and of course- children books. Madeline was (and still is) one of my favorite little girl heroines of all time. She was sweet and lovely but stood out from the crowd. I just bought the 'Mad About Madeline' big book of all her adventures but in French! I need to brush up on some of my skills. ;) Elle est magnifique!

How can one resist such a little fantastic tea set? I snagged this tea set (some parts missing) at a nearby thrift store.

The top is missing on the tea pot but I'm going to go back to try and find it!

Today must have been over a million degrees! It was almost like a death trap walking into Salvation Army (can you tell I like to exaggerate a lot?) but really, who can resist sales? I found a lot of things but hopefully I can attend more sales this weekend since it's Labor Day Weekend! I'm always such a big goofball on sales! I just may have found the most perfect coat... ever. I've been on the lookout for lovely long and nice peacoats for this upcoming fall/winter and to replace this coat that I bought at Forever21 two years ago. I love my brown coat to death but I can't keep wearing it all the time :P Yesterday I finally came upon this darling coat on a mannequin at a nearyby vintage stop! The coat is an electric blue (my walls are dark blue, sorry for the similar colors put together!) It's pictured above with one of my favorite dresses. I got it at a good price, $12! I'm so excited and this makes my loathing of summer grow even more and my desire of winter to come faster!

Yes, my dear friends it's true! My fall classes have started this week :( My classes seem alright, I haven't drowned in a sea of homework yet! The one thing I do like about school though is seeing different faces everyday (that will soon change though!). A preview of fall sort of made it's way here, I thought it was exciting. Cold weather :) It's gotten back to hot weather at the moment but we'll see! I bought these feathers at an art store when I was buying art supplies. You can't really see it but the red one is my favorite. I'm not sure what to do with them yet. Here is what I wore on my first two days of school:

First day. I'm really excited about this graphic design class I'm taking. Our teacher wants us to keep an "inspiration book" and I love that idea.

My friends and I decided to go wandering around Chinatown in San Francisco just for fun. I always get so inspired when I go to new places. back to school shopping

It's that time of year again! Unfortunately my school starts a lot earlier than most so I've compiled a little wishlist!

rose earrings, feather headband, dress, socks, f21. moleskin planner. mary jane pumps, target. gloves, ebay. red bow necklace, birdbaths.

I can't express enough how excited I am for fall. As you can tell, my wardrobe will most likely consist of dark and neutral colors. I love layering so there's going to be a lot of socks and tights and maybe leg warmers to keep my legs warm. I am currently in love with roses & bows so what's more perfect than rose earrings & a bow necklace? Heels are a must (unless it's raining!) and I love peter pan collared dresses like the one pictured above (the polka dots are a plus too). I am also a bit of a nerd too so the red Moleskin planner is perfect. Wish me luck, I'm not too sure if I actually have enough money for all of this!

The trip was amazing and no major updates yet but here is a picture that Hayley, from the band Paramore (I saw them over the weekend, amazing show!) took while we met them backstage! Right now I wish I could accessorize more but the weather is just killing me! It’s really hot and humid and makes me want to take off all of my clothes and just run around naked! Just kidding! But here is what I wore (posing with the love of my life- Jane! my car, that is) to run some errands and hang out with the Matt.

It's now official two days until my trip and I could not be more excited! I've become self conscious about what I want to wear to the music show on Friday so I've been looking around the internet for some inspiration. Maybe I'll do a little post later filled with what I can find :)

It's so nifty and comes with an extra makeup bag! I'm going to have to jam all of our daily essentials in it but the print was so adorable that I just had to get it! The bag is from Forever 21. 6 more days! :)

I stopped by Borders the other day and the Arhie comic stand caught my eye! I love love loved the Arhie comics when I was a kid, particularly Betty & Veronica because of their vibrant and trendy clothing. I'm particularly fond of the issues that were published in the 50's-60s so I searched the internet and found lovely inspiration for you all-

The last Betty one is my particular favorite! I couldn't resist buying a couple of issues as well but I haven't got a scanner near me :( Maybe next time?

Don't you love it when you find the perfect shoes? I recently found these lusicious brown mary jane heels at the Buffalo Exchange and I can't seem to stop wearing them :)

In the first outfit I'm wearing them with my favorite pink dress (in a previous post) from wet seal and a gray cardigan from plato's closet! (Excuse the heart on my face- my face was not ready for the camera!) I'm also wearing a polka dot headband but you can hardly tell. In the second outfit, since it's been so hot & humid lately I paired them with a white t-shirt dress that was thrifted, both with my betsey johnson blue leopard print purse!

I also got film developed of my yard sale and the beach! More photos coming soon lovelies!

I love spontaneous trips to Berkeley. Whenever I go, I always feel a sense of calmness and relaxation once I step onto the streets and see smiling, welcoming faces. tier skirt cont.!

Here's the final outcome of my tier skirt assemble! It's nothing really different from before, I just added makeup, a feather head piece and flats to go with it for a sensational night at Blow Up in San Francisco. I don't go to clubs very often but this one was really fun- a lot of stylin' people!

Today, after having my daily dosage of fashun~ reading, I recently stumbled upon the article Go Buy Now: Tier Skirts from WhoWhatWearDaily.com which reminded me of this lovely cream colored tier shirt that I've been meaning to wear but has only seen the hangers of my closet. Sorry about the mess in the background (it was the only place where the shirt didn't blend in!) and oh, hay turtle...

Anyway, so it got me thinking of trying to wear the shirt as a skirt instead! Here are the results:

The picture shows it on a bit of a shorter side but it's not really. I think it's perfect for this dreadful summer weather we've been having and I think I'll be wearing it more often now! I'll probably wear it as a shirt eventually but for now I'll be pairing it with my lovely American Apparel leotard and a feather head piece. What do you think?

These are so lovely and it makes me wish I knew how to sew :( The last one though looks like a table cloth I thrifted a couple of weeks ago :) I also made a bow hair clip today and I'll be making more soon :)

Lauren Conrad's Beach Butterfly Collection

Ever since The Hills aired in 2006, I was a big fan until they announced that Lauren Conrad, former star from the hit MTV Reality Show, Laguna Beach was going to become an intern for Teen Vogue. Don't get me wrong, this girl (appears) to be nice, down to earth, sweet and what not but I asked myself, what did she have to offer to the fashion world? When the show Laguna Beach aired 2004-2005, (yes, I admit that I religiously watched this show) her style consisted of constant beach type attire- flip flops, tank top and jeans. Of course, let's not forget those occasional designer clothing and accessories her mother & father bought for her as well! However, nothing about her style was sensational or inspiring, it was actually more, typical and unoriginal.

Why Teen Vogue? Why did you cast her as an intern when there are hundreds of girls that are more interesting and fashionable? Or when there's a hundreds of girls dying for an opportunity to intern for you and you gladly hand it over to Conrad as if it's like a note to your best friend? I've thought about it for quite some time and I've concluded that the answer was for publicity but has since then resulted in infamy. On the show, Conrad has somewhat improved her style a bit but has continued to lack anything remotely new or inspiring. She launched her more overpriced Forever21-esque clothing line last year which brings me to the reason for this long, ranted post- Her new collection titled, the "Beach Butterfly Collection", which only increases my assumption of her bland taste, came out earlier this week.

Each of these pieces are priced of around $110-$220. Eh.

Awhile ago I found my cute onesie(below) in a thrift store! At first glance I thought it was a dress but to my surprise it had two leg holes instead of one, like a dress. Now the onsie/romper/play suit is everywhere! I've decided to scope out a few of my favorites!

What I love about rompers/onesies/play suits is that many of them, like this wonderful black romper from urbanoutfitters is perfect for this summer weather coming!

The cutest ones, however, are the ones I've been eyeing closely on Ebay!
