new toys

headband: i think some store in the mall!
cardigan: express(?)
skirt: old navy
tights: buffalo exchange
flats: charlotte russe
tote: she & him show in SF!

I bought these two Christmas decorated puppets today at Target. What can I say? I couldn't resist, look how adorable they are :) I love everything about the end of the year holidays. I get so excited about all the meals, decorating, family gatherings, get togethers with friends to exchange gifts! This year I'm participating in a Secret Santa exchange and I've already got so many present ideas! Thank you all for so many lovely comments, I appreciate it so much. This weekend I'm planning on attending The Grinch- with ballet! It should be interesting :)

Also, one more thing:

We can’t wait for any large scale organization to get the word out for us. We have 1 week to put together a NATIONAL PROTEST and start a mobilized movement for equality! When we all come together as one voice on November 15th, we will show the nation that we can do more than just talk, we can act! We won’t solve everything in one protest, but we will fuel the fire to a conversation that can not be silenced! If we stop talking about equality for all, then we will lose the battle. If we allow others to stop talking about it, then we will lose. Hate is not the lack of love, it’s the fear of that which we do not know. This protest along with many others gives us the chance to build on the conversation and educate the masses.
It’s very simple: Infiltrate, Educate, and STOP HATE! Read more about how to get the word out at JointheImpact.com

Find your protest location here.

she & him tonight!

dress: mom's way back when!
tights: vera wang
boots: goodwill

I'm going to see She & Him tonight! This isn't what I'm wearing, this is actually what I wore a few days ago :) I just purchased these new boots from a nearby Goodwill. I think it's a good investment since it has STARTED RAINING HERE! :D and I don't have any other shoes that are good in the rain. Y/N? I'm really excited for tonight, minus the fact that I have two papers due tomorrow :( I'll update you all tomorrow about the show!

valhalla

Online shopping should be my career, no really. One of the reasons I love to shop via internet (besides that it's so awesome) is because it's so convenient- it saves me going from store to store when I'm looking for something specific. I've been in need for a new purse lately since I've been using the same old vintage one for quite some time. I've been more interested in leather purses and I luckily stumbled upon Valhalla, an amazing etsy store that is run by one woman(!) with a beautiful collection of leather purses! That's not all either- according to her website they are handmade from new, recycled and vintage materials.

other purses i'd like to consider:

ebay.com, urbanoutfitters.com, topshop.com, mulberry.com

Now, my only dilemma is trying to afford one ;)

sick outfits

cardigan: plato's closet
dress: f21
tights: ?
shoes: urbanoriginal

blazer: vintage
dress: old navy
tights: buffalo exchange
shoes: (same as above) urbanoriginal

Sorry for the mini-absence, I hate being sick especially when it seems like my work schedule has gotten pretty hectic- especially trying to find time in between to do the piles of homework I've got to do! Is everyone ready for Halloween? I can't wait although I'm not too sure what I'm going to be (I know, I'm so late at this!) yet. I love the idea of passing out candy and seeing everyone's costume and carving pumpkins. Last year I went to a couple of Halloween parties but I'm not even sure if any are going on this year :\

I was really interested but hesitant to get Influence, a book by Mary-kate & Ashley Olsen but after seeing these sneak peek photos, I think I may just put my pre-order in!

PS- I've been ill these past few days so sorry for the lack of posts! I will get into the blogging groove again soon :)

looking forward to cold weather(still) and perhaps a mini vacation soon?

blazer: vintage
dress: thrift
shoes: urban original

Did the last picture fool you? I am not actually wearing glasses :P My eyes just looked haggard so I added some sticker from photobucket, haha. I wore this to class today. Nothing special! I can't believe cold weather hasn't begun here yet. It's still going to be 80 degrees all week! :( Good news though, I might be going to Disneyland a second time for the holidays and to visit a good friend of mine! I'm pretty excited.. especially since this will probably be my first trip alone, ah. I have to go now and do some stats hw :(
